COVID Rules update Dec. 21, 2021

This Tuesday night (December 21) the Portuguese Government decided to extend the precautionary period from December 25 to January 10 due to the increasing number of Omicron COVID-19 cases despite the relatively low number of hospitalizations and deaths. For example: International travel remains allowed (except from a few southern African countries); Pretty much everything but Bars and Discos remain open; Remote work is advised for those professions that can be done remotely; A negative Covid test is required to access indoors restaurants (but not cafes).
