Castro Marim
Natural Reserve of Castro Marim. Do birdwatching here – e.g. flamingos, storks, etc.(3.8km away, north; 47 min walk; 15 min biking).

Cacela Velha
Located 12km away from Monte Gordo, towards the west. One of the best beaches in the world often visited by famous people – e.g. Sharon Stone, John Kerry (US Secretary of State), Teresa Heinz (the ketchup magnate), Claude Picasso (the artist’s son), etc.
